How does Noteefy actually find available tee times and notify golfers?
Here’s a simple overview for you and your team — so you can feel confident explaining this to staff and players.
🔍 How It Works
Noteefy continuously checks your course’s online booking site to look for newly opened tee times that match your golfers’ waitlist searches.
Here’s what happens behind the scenes:
- Runs Regular Checks:
Our system automatically checks for openings every few minutes. The exact timing depends on a few factors, like demand for certain days and the booking system’s best practices.
- Adapts to Demand:
If a golfer creates a search for a day that isn’t being checked yet, we’ll immediately increase how often we look for that date.
- Confirms Availability Before Notifying:
We double-check each tee time to make sure it’s still available — so golfers have a fair chance to book. This means there is usually a short delay (about 5–10 minutes) between when a golfer creates a search and when they get an alert if that time opens up.
- Prioritizes Fairness:
If many golfers are waiting for the same time, Noteefy automatically spaces out notifications so that everyone has a fair chance to book and you can fill your tee sheet efficiently.
⏱️ What Golfers Can Expect
Golfers should expect a slight delay between when they create a search and when they get notified — usually a few minutes.
This timing helps ensure:
- They’re getting alerted about real availability.
- They have enough time to book the tee time before it’s gone.
- Your tee sheet gets filled in a way that’s fair and effective.
💡 Why We Do It This Way
Our approach balances three important things:
✅ Making sure golfers get a great experience.
✅ Helping you fill every available tee time.
✅ Protecting your booking site’s performance.
