If you’re using Noteefy Confirm to reduce no-shows and keep your tee sheet full, you may occasionally notice that certain golfers don’t receive a confirmation message. This typically happens when a reservation is made within the automated message window—and it's by design.
⏱️ What’s Happening?
Noteefy Confirm schedules messages like the Initial Confirmation and Follow-Up Reminder based on a set number of hours before a tee time—e.g.:
- Initial Confirm: 48 hours prior
- Follow-Up Reminder: 24 hours prior
If a golfer books a tee time within that time window—say, 6 hours before their round—they will not receive the previously scheduled confirmation messages, because those messages were already triggered before they booked.
💡 Example Scenario
- Your course has configured the Initial Confirmation Message to send 48 hours in advance.
- A golfer books a tee time 3 hours before play.
- That golfer will not receive the Initial Confirm message because the message was already sent (or skipped) prior to the booking being made.
✔️ What You Can Do
To manage expectations and ensure coverage for last-minute bookings:
- Use clear booking confirmation emails/texts from your tee sheet to supplement short-notice reservations.
- Train Pro Shop staff to check recent bookings for confirmations manually if needed.
- Consider a shorter initial message window (e.g., 24 hours vs. 48 hours) if your course sees many day-of or next-day bookings.
🧠 Pro Tip
The Confirm feature is designed to automate advance confirmations. It’s most effective when tee times are booked 1–7 days in advance. For tee times booked within hours of play, messages are not retroactively triggered.
