🧾 General Info

What is Confirm?

Confirm helps reduce no-shows by automatically messaging golfers to confirm, cancel, or modify their tee times in advance.

How do golfers get messages?

Messages are sent via text and email (if available on the tee sheet). Confirm uses golfer data already in your system.

Who receives Confirm messages?

Any golfer with a tee time and valid email or phone number may receive a message, depending on your message timing.

Can golfers opt out?

Yes! They can unsubscribe from email messages via a link or reply “STOP” to opt out of Confirm-related texts.

A golfer on my tee sheet has back-to-back tee times booked. Will Noteefy ask them to confirm both of their tee times?

Noteefy will ask them about the first tee time they have booked of their back-to-back tee times. If they either confirm or request to modify, they will not be asked about the 2nd tee time. If they cancel the first tee time, they will then be asked to confirm/modify/cancel the 2nd tee time.

How does Confirm interact with Tournaments, Events, and Leagues?

We do not send messages for tee times that are linked to a tournament, event, or league play

Do you send texts all times of day?

Except for rare scenarios, from the hours of 10PM-7AM local time for the players, text messages will not be sent (to not disrupt them overnight). Messages that are meant to be sent during those hours should get sent shortly after quiet hours ends

⚠️ Common Issues

Golfer didn’t get a message?

Likely reasons include:

  • The booking was made after the message had already been sent.
  • Missing or incorrect contact info.

Message failed to process a cancellation or confirmation?

This can happen if there’s a sync issue with your tee sheet. We’ll notify the golfer and ask them to call the Pro Shop.

Incorrect phone numbers?

Bad phone numbers can cause some issues with accidental cancellations. Noteefy has built in capabilities to minimize the impact of this by asking golfers to confirm that they are in fact the person the message is intended for. The message sent is as follows: "[First Name], are you the golfer who booked a tee time at [Course Name] on [Date]? Reply YES to continue or NO if this message was sent to you by mistake."⁠

  • Only after they confirm "YES" will they receive the standard confirmation options via text⁠
  • If someone replies "NO," a note will be automatically placed on your tee sheet (if your tee sheet supports notes) and stop sending them messages⁠
  • If the golfer does not respond at all, they will continue to receive email reminders about the tee time, and then the next time they get a tee time they will be re-sent the verification message.

🛑 Cancellation Policy Interaction

Can we enforce our cancellation policy with Confirm?

Yes. Just toggle on “Enable Cancellation Policy” in the Noteefy Admin Portal.

What happens if a golfer tries to cancel inside our policy window?

  • The cancellation will not go through.
  • The golfer receives a custom message (set by you) asking them to contact the Pro Shop instead.

💵 Pre-Paid Rounds

Can we refund automatically through Confirm for pre-paid rounds?

Depends on your tee sheet provider. Below is the answer by tee sheet:
