This article explains what's new with Noteefy Confirm, how the updated experience works for golfers with multiple tee times, and what you can expect as a golf course operator. If you're looking to configure your Confirm settings (timing, cancellation policy, message content), see How to Set Up and Configure Noteefy Confirm.

🔁 What Changed: Old Flow vs. New Flow
The Old Flow (V1)
In the original version of Confirm, golfers received an SMS and were asked to reply with a number:
Reply 1 to confirm
Reply 5 to modify (directed them to contact the pro shop)
Reply 9 to cancel
In email, instead of the 1/5/9 flow they were simply asked to click a confirm/modify/cancel button. This worked well for a single golfer with a single tee time, but fell short when golfers booked back-to-back tee times or tee times on consecutive days
The result: golfers were calling pro shops to verify their other bookings, staff were fielding unnecessary calls, and some golfers didn't realize they had additional tee times to confirm leading to avoidable no-shows.
The New Flow (V2)
Confirm V2 solves the multi-tee-time problem at its root. Here's what's different:
Every tee time gets covered. Regardless of how many bookings a golfer has — same day, different days, or across different courses — each one is handled by the confirmation system.
Golfers get a link, not a reply prompt. Instead of texting "1" to confirm, golfers receive a link to their personal booking management page. That page is tied to them as a person (not to any individual tee time) and shows all of their upcoming tee times in one place, with clear Confirm / Modify / Cancel options for each.
Consecutive tee times are grouped. If a booking captain has reserved back-to-back tee times for a large group (for example, 12:00, 12:10, and 12:20 for 12 players), those consecutive slots are intelligently collapsed into a single group on the management page. The golfer sees one combined block (for example 12:00–12:20 for 12 players) and confirms, modifies, or cancels the entire group with one action. They don't receive three separate messages or have to confirm three times.
Non-consecutive tee times are separate items. Tee times that aren't back-to-back — whether they're on the same day (ie 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM), across different days, or at different courses — appear as individual items on the management page. Each one has its own Confirm / Modify / Cancel action and requires its own response.
The 1/5/9 reply system is retired for V2 courses. Any course that has been updated to V2 no longer uses the number-reply format. The link-based management page replaces it entirely.
💡 Why the New Experience Is Better
For golfers:
One message, one place to manage everything. No confusion about which text applies to which tee time.
Group bookings don't require multiple rounds of confirmation as one action covers the whole block.
The management page is mobile-optimized and works on any device. It's not a form — it's a simple page with clear action buttons.
The system always knows exactly which tee time a golfer is acting on, eliminating the ambiguity that existed with number-reply confirmations.
For your pro shop:
Fewer "did my second tee time get confirmed?" calls. That's the direct, intended outcome.
Large group bookings, previously a source of confusion and missed confirmations, are now handled cleanly through the grouped view.
Golfers who need to cancel can do so without calling, which helps keep your tee sheet accurate.
📊 How It Works: Three Scenarios
Scenario 1 — Single Tee Time at a Single Course
One golfer, one tee time. This is the most common case, and the experience is similar to before.
The golfer receives one Confirm message (via email and/or SMS) with their course name, date, and tee time referenced directly. The message includes a link to their booking management page, which shows that single tee time with Confirm / Modify / Cancel options.
Scenario 2 — Multiple Back-to-Back Tee Times at One Course (Group Booking)
A group of 12 books three consecutive 4-person slots at 9:00, 9:10, and 9:20.
The booking captain receives one Confirm message. On their management page, the three consecutive slots appear as a single grouped block: 9:00–9:20 for 12 players. One confirm/modify/cancel action covers the entire group.
The SMS message for multiple tee times is intentionally more general — rather than referencing a specific time, it tells the golfer how many upcoming tee times they have and directs them to their management page.
Scenario 3 — Tee Times at Multiple Courses or on Multiple Days
Because the tee times are on different days, they're not grouped — they appear as separate items on the management page, and each requires its own action.
The golfer receives one Confirm message that surfaces all upcoming tee times and directs them to the management page where they can act on each independently.
⚙️ What Operators Should Know
The transition window. When your course is migrated to V2, there is a brief transition window of a few days where some tee times booked right at the changeover may not receive a confirmation message. You will be given advanced notice before your migration happens, including what to expect during this window.
Timing and follow-up settings don't change. You still control when Confirm messages go out (e.g., 3 days before the tee time) and when a follow-up is sent if the golfer hasn't responded. Those settings remain in your Noteefy Admin Portal under Confirm settings.
Message customization is more limited for multi-tee-time messages. For a single tee time, the message references your course and the specific tee time directly. For golfers with multiple tee times, the message is more general by design because it needs to reference all their upcoming tee times rather than just one. Customization to those messages is now moved to the booking management page and you can now include more text than was previously allowed.
The Modify action works the same as before. Golfers who click Modify on their management page are directed to contact your pro shop to make changes. The management page does not allow golfers to self-serve a modification.
⛔ Common Questions and Edge Cases
"My golfers prefer texting '1' to confirm. Can we keep that option?"
The 1/5/9 system had a fundamental limitation: when a golfer had multiple tee times, the system couldn't tell which tee time a reply was meant for. That ambiguity is exactly what caused missed confirmations in the first place. The link-based management page solves this by design — the system always knows which tee time a golfer is acting on.
For golfers who are hesitant about clicking a link, it helps to know that the management page is not a login wall or a form — it's a simple, mobile-friendly page with just a few buttons.
"Why can’t I keep my customized message in what is being sent out?"
With the introduction of this new system, golfers could now be getting a single message about multiple tee times at multiple courses. This introduces risk of confusion if the customized message was kept in the message itself, as it wouldn’t be clear which tee time the customization was for. You’ll still have customization ability, it will now sit instead inside the booking management page.
"Our course had group confirmations turned off. What happens when we migrate?"
Some courses — particularly those on Club Prophet — previously enabled a setting to suppress Confirm messages for groups larger than 4 players, because those messages were causing confusion (golfers accidentally canceling or confirming incorrectly). The V2 grouped management page experience is significantly better than what was causing that confusion, but if your course had this setting enabled, it will remain on and you will have the option to turn it off after the migration.
"A golfer clicked a link for a past or already-confirmed tee time. What do they see?"
The management page handles these states gracefully. Expired, already-confirmed, and already-canceled tee times all display with appropriate status — the page won't show a broken state or allow duplicate actions.
